Spanish Courses in Spain – Granada
Full immersion Spanish Courses are offered at the Don Quijote Spanish School in the city of Granada, the capital of the province of the same name. Both are famous for their history and architectural monuments. The distinctive Arabic influence is omnipresent in the beautiful and impressive palace of the Alhambra and its Generalife (gardens), the “Glory of Granada.” The Albaicin quarter, with its small, picturesque streets and flower-covered patios, is worth a visit, as is the Sacromonte quarter with its typical cave houses and gypsies. Visiting the cathedral, renaissance churches and baroque style buildings is a cultural adventure.
Only a 40-minute drive away is the winter sports resort “Solynieve” in the Sierra Nevada. This mountain range is the highest on the Iberian Peninsula. The peaks are covered with snow year round. Ski stations are at 2,000 meters, with skiing from October until April. The city is also well known for its university, the third most important in Spain. With 40,000 students, one in six inhabitants are part of the university community, giving the town a dynamic and youthful atmosphere, evidenced in crowded bars, bodegas, theater, etc. Granada upholds its reputation as the cultural capital of the south of Spain.
Excellent location to learn Spanish during your Winter Vacation!
