Spanish Courses in Buenos Aires at ECELA
The ECELA – Latin Immersion Spanish Language School offers Spanish courses in Buenos Aires in the neighborhood of Recoleta, one of the finest in Buenos Aires.
ECELA has an ideal location for your Spanish immersion; close by are many restaurants, bars, cafes, attractive parks, museums, movie theaters and shops. Recoleta is an upper-middle class neighborhood and is safe at all hours.
The ECELA school building is constructed in the traditional “porteño” style with marble stairs, mosaic floors, a terrace and several balconies. There are 18 classrooms and several common areas with free Internet access where our students can enjoy breaks. The school is centrally located, only a few minutes away from the subway, buses and student housing.
Twelve different levels of training are offered, each level lasting 2 weeks each. All teachers are native speakers of Spanish, university graduates, and experienced in teaching Spanish as a second language.

Spanish Course Options:
Basic Standard Spanish Course: Group Course. 20 Spanish group lessons a week (4 lessons per day Monday-Friday, each lesson=50 Minutes). Minimum stay one week. Morning (9AM-1PM) or afternoon (2PM-6PM) schedules available. Course includes 10 Grammar lessons per week in a group of 8 students maximum per class and 10 Conversation lessons per week in a group of 4 students maximum. Prices include materials, placement test on arrival, periodic progress exams and certificate of completion.
Premium Spanish Course: Combiantion Private/Group Course. 20 Spanish lessons a week (4 lessons per day Monday-Friday, each lesson=50 Minutes). Minimum stay one week. Morning (9AM-1PM) or afternoon (2PM-6PM) schedules available. Course includes 10 Private (one-to-one) Grammar lessons per week and 10 Conversation lessons per week in a group of 4 students maximum. Prices include materials, placement test on arrival, periodic progress exams, certificate of completion, three weekday activities per week, one coaching session per week and access to tutorials.
Private Spanish Course: Choose 10 or 20 Spanish one-to-one lessons per week (each lesson=50 Minutes). Minimum stay one week. Professional Spanish One-to-One classes adapted to specific needs (medical, business, trade, law, etc.) are also available at a 25% surcharge. Prices include materials, placement test on arrival, periodic progress exams, certificate of completion, three weekday activities per week, one coaching session per week and access to tutorials.

Holidays 2017 (subject to change!): 28 February, 14 April, 1 May, 10 July, 25 December. Classes missed due to official holidays are not made up. The school will be closed during the following holidays but classes will be made up as conversation classes during the rest of the week with no maximum number of students respected: 27 February, 24 March, 13 April, 25 May, 20 June, 17 August, 9 October, 20 November, 27 November, 8 December.
Holidays 2018 (subject to change!): 1 January, 12 February, 30 March, 1 May, 9 July, 25 December. Classes missed due to official holidays are not made up. Spanish and Tango: Buenos Aires is the home of the most passionate and magical dance in the world: the Tango. You can go to a show in an elegant theatre or restaurant or be lucky enough to see couples dancing tango in the streets; it is a central part of the culture of Buenos Aires. Dare to learn the tango with talented instructors and practice at night in the city! You can combine your Spanish course with a tango course, which includes one private and two group tango lessons per week, at the most famous and respected Tango Academy in Buenos Aires: Mayoral Elsa Maria. The program offers group and private lessons for rapid learning retention, so you can bring a little bit of Argentina back to your home country! . Tango classes must be booked in conjunction with a language course.
Prices 2017 and 2018: one private and 2 group lessons per week : USD 140 per week (in addition to Spanish Course).
ECELA – Buenos Aires Accommodations
ECELA Latin Immersion offers different types of accommodations to their students. They have many well screened and experienced families around town or, you may stay in private rooms in Shared Apartments.
Of course, if you prefer you can arrange your own accommodation (hotels, friends, etc.)
Host Families: All of the families have been carefully selected and are monitored so that your home stay experience is to your complete satisfaction. You can choose a host family providing 2 meals per day (breakfast and dinner), or a host family without meals where you can have access to the kitchen in order to prepare your own meals.
Apartment Shares: You will have a private room and share the bathroom and kitchen with other students. No meals, full use of equipped kitchen to be able to prepare your own meals.

Buenos Aires offers many different activities and an active nightlife to make the most of your free time and complement you Spanish Courses!
ECELA invites you to participate in the weekly activities offered: city tours, cooking lessons, tango lessons, museum tours, parks or bars. Passing through the city you can also see tango shows, football matches or go to a delicious barbecue.
During the weekends we organize trips to the Tigre delta, Mendoza, Tandil, Córdoba and other areas to enjoy local festivals or the beautiful countryside. For the adventure lovers, we organize horseback riding, trekking, rappel and canoeing excursions.

- Monday: Get to know the other students day: Welcome lunch, City tours, BBQ welcome party.
- Tuesday: Education day: Conversation club, cooking lessons, movies, games.
- Wednesday: Action day: salsa / tango classes, football (soccer) match, volleyball, bike tours, bar nights.
- Thursday: Cultural Evening: Museums, folklore dinner show, theater, ballet, art exposition.
- Friday: Social day: farewell party, farewell lunch, night out.
- Weekend: One-day or weekend-long excursions!
Airport Transfers: Transfers from Buenos Aires Ezeiza airport are available upon request and at an additional charge of USD 65 each way.
