Ecole France Langue has been teaching French courses in Nice for over 35 years.
The Ecole France Langue Nice school is located in the Liberation/Borriglione residential area of Nice. It is a chic and multicultural quarter with plenty of things to discover: you will enjoy the calm of a residential area as well as numerous shops, restaurants, coffee shops and bars, even artists’ studios. The heart of the quarter is the big open air market with its convivial and typical atmosphere! More than 120 stalls offer fruits and vegetables as well as a large choice of local products.
The school occupies 2 floors of a typical building. It offers seven entirely renovated class rooms, a resource center and a student lounge. During the breaks or after classes a garden invites you to enjoy the Mediterranean sun almost all year long. The school building is equipped with wireless internet access as well as five computer stations for student’s use. The center Director and her team are on hand to welcome you for a perfect stay that combines learning French with cultural activities and sports.
Excellent public transportation is available nearby (bus and tram lines), and the SCNF train station, located just over a mile away, offers regular service to other coastal cities like Monaco or Cannes 30 minutes away. Classrooms are bright and comfortable and air-conditioned.

Ecole France Langue – French Courses in Nice
Notes: Minimum age: 17. All prices for French Courses listed below include: number of French language lessons as listed, most guided tours of Nice organized by the school (entrance fees to museums are not included), free-access teacher supervised media lab, internet access via school’s PC (max. connection time of 20 minute per day), free unlimited WI-FI access. Books are not included and must be purchased at a local book store. Price: approximately 25 to 48 Euros depending on course chosen and level. Note: France Langue also offers French Courses in Paris, French Courses in Bordeaux and French Courses in Biarritz. Programs can be combined between both schools, even after course is already in progress.
General French Group Courses – IMPORTANT CHANGES TO COURSE STRUCTURE:
France Langue has introduced a new approach to their French language courses: French Learning & Coaching Cooperative Language Learning Intensive Programs.
Cooperative Language Learning is based on the practice of the language in real-life situations, using many different environments: in the classroom, outside of the class, on the FL Online platform, on the “MOOC” platform offered by France Langue. The use of all the teaching technologies and methodologies available creates a complete experience with a full support for the learner.

The General French Courses consist of 20 or 30 lessons per week:
Standard French Courses: 20 French lessons per week (each lesson is 45 minutes long) maximum of 12 students per class. Classes may be held according to the following schedules. Schedules depend on French level, and while every effort will be made to accommodate student’s requests, a specific schedule cannot be guaranteed. Mornings (Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM) or afternoons (Monday-Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:15 PM), and in the event of large enrollment numbers during high season, classes may also be held in the evenings (Monday-Friday from 4:30 PM to 7:15 PM). This option is perfect for those willing to start learning French or improve and perfect their level while enjoying enough free time to take advantage of their stay in France. The Standard French Course consists of 20 General French lessons (in school).
Super Intensive French Courses – Standard French Plus 10: 30 French lessons per week (each lesson is 45 minutes long), maximum of 12 students per class.. Course is divided into two sections: 20 French lessons per week of Standard French course (see above) plus 10 specifically targeted thematic workshops focusing on elements of the French language, suited to your needs and desires: such as speaking and listening, writing and reading, phonetics or grammar, but also, for more advanced levels, cultural themed workshops such as current events, traditions and civilization are available. Schedule: Standard French course mornings (Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM) with afternoon workshops ( Monday-Friday from 1:30PM to 3:00 PM). workshop.

2024 Starting Dates for all group French courses: Elementary to Advanced students may start any Monday. Complete beginners must start on the following dates: 29 January / 15 April / 22 July / 23 September.
Holidays 2024: 1 January, 4-5 January, 1 May, 8-9 May, 20 May, 15 August, 1 November, 11 November. Classes lost due to holidays are NOT made up, but a credit of USD 45 will be applied for each day missed due to an official holiday! The school is also closed from 21 Dec 2024 until 6 Jan 2025.
SPECIAL FRENCH COURSES in Nice:
Private French Courses (One-to-One French Lessons): Private French lessons are available at USD 95 per lesson plus a USD 50 school enrollment fee. (10 lesson per week minimum booking). One-to-one French lessons can start any Monday.
Teachers Training French Courses: 30 lessons per week, specifically designed for Teachers of French as a Foreign Language. French civilization and culture are the basis of this training program which explores the subtleties of present day French language, classroom strategies and dynamics. It enables French teachers to broaden and update their classroom methods. An optional cultural program (tours and lectures) permits to discover the French way of living and local culture. Subjects include: language practice, strategy and teaching methods in the classroom, and theater adapted to teaching French as a foreign language. Advanced level required!
Starting date 2024: 8 July (1 or 2 weeks), 15 July (1 week only).
Senior 60+ Courses: Program consists of 20 lessons per week (each lesson is 45 minutes long) in a closed group with other senior students plus 4 cultural activities each week (afternoons or evenings). Important Notes: a minimum level of French is required (A2 – Advanced Beginner); a minimum of 4 students is required to form a closed group, otherwise the school reserves the right to incorporate students into their regular adult courses. Activities and excursions (with the exception of the walking tour) are conducted via private van transportation.
Starting date 2024: 13 May (1 or 2 weeks), 21 May (1 week only), 9 September (1 or 2 weeks), 16 September (1 week only).

Ecole France Langue Accommodations
Accommodations are available in carefully selected local French host families offering private rooms and breakfast or half-board (2 meals per day: breakfast and dinner). Families are located throughout Nice, average commute to school is 10 to 25 minutes. Accommodations in private International Student Residences** or in hotels can also be arranged. In addition to their French courses in Nice, Ecole France Langue also offers a full program of activities every week. Most guided tours arranged by the school are offered free of charge (entrance fees if applicable are the responsibility of the student). Excursions, opera, theater and concert tickets are optional and offered at additional cost.
