Bouchereau Lingua International has been offering French courses in Quebec since it was established in 1976. It is located near charming Old Quebec. It is accredited by the Federal Government of Canada, recognized by the Ministries of Education of both Quebec and France, and it is recommended by the French Training and Evaluation Centre of Ontario. It specializes exclusively in teaching French as a foreign language. The Bouchereau Lingua International school is centrally located, just a short walk from Old Quebec (outside the city walls). It is small and functional with a welcoming reception area, several classrooms, internet/e-mail access and audio visual work stations. Within easy walking distance to dozens of restaurants and attractions.

NOTES: Minimum Age: 18 . Each lesson is 50 minutes long. BLI offers 7 different levels of instruction: 2 Basic levels, 3 Intermediate levels and 2 Advanced levels.
French Courses in Quebec – Course Options:
Standard General French Course Part-Time – Group 14 — Maximum of 14 students per class (average 9), 18 French lessons per week. All Levels from beginner to advanced.
Standard General French Course Full-Time – Group 14 — Maximum of 14 students per class (average 9), 24 French lessons per week: Part-time course of 18 lessons per week plus 6 lessons of Communicative Work-Shop per week. All Levels from beginner to advanced.
Intensive French Course – Group 14 — Maximum of 14 students per class (average 9), 30 French lessons per week. Minimum level of French REQUIRED: Low Intermediate. Part-time French course consisting of 18 lessons per week plus 6 lessons of Communicative Work-Shop plus 6 Special Skills classes per week (Skills classes include: Power Vocabulary, Communicative Grammar, Listening & Pronunciation, Conversation Circle, Power Speaking, Reading For Specific Purposes and Writing).
Super Intensive French Course – Group 14 — Maximum of 14 students per class (average 9), 35 French lessons per week. Minimum level of French REQUIRED: Low Intermediate. Part-time French courses consisting of 18 lessons per week plus 6 lessons of Communicative Work-Shop plus 6 Special Skills classes per week (Skills classes include: Power Vocabulary, Communicative Grammar, Listening & Pronunciation, Conversation Circle, Power Speaking, Reading For Specific Purposes and Writing), plus 5 Elective Classes per week (Electives include: Street talk, French through music, French through film, French through photography, French through Art, Fluency and Proficiency, Journalism, Canada Through History, International Culture, French for traveling, Business writing, Business culture, Business Presentation, French over the phone, Negotiation Skills, Meeting Techniques, Marketing, International Trade, Commercialization, Production & Operations, Management Techniques, Business Practicum, French for travel, Tourism Writing, Hotel Management, French for hospitality industry). One-to-One French Courses: Private French lessons. French private lessons may also be added to any of the Group courses.

IMPORTANT NOTES: A) Books are not included in the French Courses’ rates, they must be purchased upon arrival directly at the school (approximate cost USD 40.00 per level).
B) For the purposes of forming homogeneous groups, if the number of students at a certain level is less than 5. For example: the school reserves the right to adjust the number of hours of training in the Standard Course as follows: 1 or 2 students = 10 lessons of private instruction, 3 or 4 = 15 lessons of instruction. For Standard French Course: Depending on student’s level classes may be held in the morning (8:10 AM to 12:20 Noon) or in the afternoon (1 PM to 5 PM) at the sole discretion of the school!.
2020 Starting Dates for all group French Courses: Group French Courses begin every Monday for all levels EXCEPT beginners. Complete beginners must start on the following dates: 6 January / 3 February / 2, 30 March / 27 April / 25 May / 22 June / 20 July / 17 August / 14 September / 13 October* / 9 November / 7 December.
Private French Courses may be started any Monday for all level.
Holidays 2020: The Bouchereau Lingua International school is closed during the following Holidays: 1 January, 10 April, 18 May, 24 June, 1 July, 7 September, 12 October, 25 and 26 December. Classes missed due to holidays are not made up.
*When Monday is a holiday, classes will start on Tuesday!
Bouchereau Lingua International – Accommodation Prices 2020:
Bouchereau Lingua offers accommodations with carefully selected local French speaking host families. They will also make hotel or B&B accommodations upon request (placement fee applies, see below).

Bouchereau Lingua International -Activities
The school organizes a “happy hour” every Thursday at a local restaurant/bar where students can meet each other. July is one of the best months to attend classes because students have the opportunity to attend the Quebec International Summer Festival. Quebec city offers a full range of activities that vary according to the season.
