ALICANTE – Spain
Alicante, with a population of 284,000 inhabitants, is known as the pearl of the Mediterranean. It enjoys a wonderful climate year round with splendid beaches that earn the Blue Flag Award from the European Community every year. The famous Postiguet beach is in the very center of town. The area, inhabited well before Roman times, is of vital importance in the modern economy of Spain. Famous leisure destinations such as Campello, San Juan, Tabarca and Ibiza are located within easy reach of Alicante. The international airport enjoys frequent service to most mayor European capitals, while daily train service connects it easily with Madrid and Barcelona. Alicante offers the advantages of a medium-sized city with a varied cultural life, a young and dynamic university and a booming economy and at the same time a relaxed beach town atmosphere. Estudio Sampere – Spanish Courses in Alicante
Estudio Sampere is a well-known Spanish language school established in 1956. It has been offering Spanish Courses in Alicante for over 20 years. It is also a founding member of IALC (International Association of Language Centers), a member of various chambers of commerce, and it has received the CEELE seal of approval through the University of Alcala. Estudio Sampere is also an Accredited Center of Instituto Cervantes. Their Spanish school in Alicante is located in the center of Alicante, across from the “Teatro Principal. The famous Postiguet beach is just five minutes walking distance from the school. It occupies two floors of a newly constructed three story building. It has seven well-lit air conditioned classrooms, a common area, a library and a video room. The old town and the majestic “Ayuntamiento” are located less than five minutes away.

Minimum age: 18. Maximum of 9 students per group (average of 6 students per class). Each lesson is 45 minutes long.
All prices include: number of Spanish lessons as specified, all teaching materials (course books on loan for the duration of the course), internet access, 1 month premium access to an online learning platform, many social events and certificate of completion. Spanish Courses – Options:
Intensive 20 Spanish Course – Group 9 — Maximum of 9 students per class. 20 Spanish lessons per week. The Intensive course is available for a variety of levels from complete beginner up to advanced. The Intensive 20 Spanish Courses take place from Monday to Friday and consists of 20 group lessons of 45 minutes each per week. This course aims to develop the four main Spanish language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing as well as improve grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Classes focus on communication, which will enable the student to enrich vocabulary, improve fluency and become more confident when using the language.
Intensive 25 Spanish Course – Group 9 — Maximum of 9 students per class. 20 Spanish lessons per week, + 5 conversation and/or cultural lessons weekly. The Intensive 25 course is available from complete beginner to advanced level. The Intensive 25 Spanish Course consists of 20 group lessons of 45 minutes each per week PLUS an additional 5 conversation and/or cultural lessons. This course aims to develop the four main Spanish language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing as well as improve grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Classes focus on communication, which will enable the student to enrich vocabulary, improve fluency and become more confident when using the language.

Intensive PLUS 5 Spanish Course – Group 9 plus Private lessons — Maximum of 9 students per class in group portion of program. 20 group Spanish lessons per week, + 4 hours of cultural Spanish lessons PLUS 5 One-to One Spanish lessons weekly.
Intensive PLUS 10 Spanish Course – Group 9 plus Private lessons — Maximum of 9 students per class in group portion of program. 20 group Spanish lessons per week, + 4 hours of cultural Spanish lessons PLUS 10 One-to One Spanish lessons weekly.

Starting Dates for group Spanish Courses: ALL LEVELS may start any Monday.!!
Holidays 2023: 6 January, 7 April, 1 May, 23 June, 12 October, 1 November, 8 December, 25 December. School will be closed for group courses from 23 December 2023 until 2 January 2024 (except for One-to-One courses!). Classes lost due to Holidays are NOT made up. One-to-One courses WILL be offered during Christmas time.
Airport Transfers: Airport transfers from Alicante airport are available upon request at an additional fee of: USD 88 one way / USD 147 round trip.

NEW Program: Spanish Courses for Seniors (50+): 50 Plus Spanish and Culture program – This special course is designed for senior students, aged 50 and up, who not only want to improve their Spanish level, but also want to spend a pleasant and cultural vacation in Spain. Program includes 20 Spanish lessons during the morning (Mon-Fri), with an extensive program of visits, activities and excursions during the afternoon and weekend. Students will have lessons from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. Students will be placed, according to the placement test, in special groups for this particular program. There are 3 levels available for 50 Plus students: Elementary, Lower Intermediate, and Intermediate. Students with other levels (beginners, upper intermediate and advanced) will join the Intensive Course for the class portion of the program. Activities: Estudio Sampere will organize 4 activities per week specially designed for the participants of the 50 Plus Program. One excursion will take place on each Saturday to a town nearby like Altea. Participants in the 50 Plus Program will share the bus with the other students of the school. Accommodation: Students will be accommodated in single rooms (full board basis) in Spanish host families. These families have been carefully selected and each one has been visited. Upon request, other accommodation options (Studios, Hotels, Hostels) are also available.

Host Families: Host Family stay is the most popular choice in all Estudio Sampere destinations. You live with a host family, sharing meals and facilities and practicing your Spanish in a traditional and friendly environment.
Shared Apartments: Renting a student room in a shared apartment gives you a more independent lifestyle. You share an apartment with two to four other people, usually other Estudio Sampere students, with whom you also share certain expenses and the household tasks. Shared apartment pricing is seasonal.
Apartments and Studio Apartments: Apartments are available for individuals or two people booking together. Typical studios have one or two beds, a fully equipped bathroom with towels, kitchenette with refrigerator and other services for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Prices vary by apartment type and by season. Please contact us for pricing.
Hotels and Hostels: Estudio Sampere can also recommend hotels and hostels for different budgets in all five destinations. The hotels are located close to the schools. We have worked with our hotels for many years and have special rates in most of them.

Estudio Sampere Alicante – Activities:
Estudio Sampere Alicante organizes school activities and cultural classes on regular basis. Joining those activities outside of regular class hours is a great way to learn Spanish and get to know the city and Spanish culture. It is also a great opportunity to get to know other Sampere students from different countries!
Some of the activities offered include: Spanish Culture Classes (4 per week and included in the price of the course), full day excursions to Tabarca Island, Altea or Ibiza (2 per month*), guided tours to museums and monuments (1 per week*), and nightlife events (1 per week*)
*Excursion and activities outside of the school are optional. Students are responsible for transportation costs, entrance fees and personal consumption.
