2024 Starting dates for all group Spanish courses: Intermediate to advanced students may start any Monday. Complete beginners must start on the following dates: 8, 22 January / 5 or 19 February / 4, 18, or 25 March / 1, 15 or 29 April / 13 or 27 May / 10 or 17 June / 1, 15 or 29 July / 12 or 19* August / 2, 16 or 30 September / 14 or 28 October / 11 or 25 November / 9* December.
Holidays 2024: The school will be closed on Bank Holidays as follows: 28 February, 28-29 March, 1 May, 15 August, 19 August, 9 September, 12 October, 1 November, 6 and 9 December. School will be closed from 23 December 2024 until 7 January 2025 (to be confirmed). Classes lost due to Holidays are NOT made up. *If a starting date falls on a Bank Holiday, students take their placement test and orientation tour of Malaga on that date but will start lessons on the following day.
Executive Spanish Courses in Malaga 2024:
One-to-One Spanish Courses: Private Spanish Lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs.
Price: USD 56 per lesson plus a USD 85 administrative fee. Minimum enrollment: 10 lessons per week / one week (2 week minimum during July and August!). Start any Monday.
Spanish for Business: For students with prior experience in business. Minimum enrollment age: 25. An Intensive Spanish Course specializing in Spanish Business language consisting of 30 lessons per week: 20 lessons per week of the Intensive Spanish course including reading, writing, listening and speaking activities, as well as grammar and vocabulary, PLUS 10 lessons per week in a mini-group (max, 4 students per class) covering specific business vocabulary and a variety of activities dealing with topics such as: personal introduction, product and company presentation and analysis, meetings (note-taking, contributing opinions , interrupting), human resources, trade fairs, congresses and conferences, negotiation, market analysis, etc. The Spanish for Business Course can be booked from 1 to 4 weeks. Minimum level required for enrollment: Intermediate Spanish (completed).

Senior Spanish Courses – “Master Class 50+” (for the young at heart 50+).
Spanish Course specifically designed for Senior students 50+ year of age. 2 or 4 week Spanish language program with a maximum of 10 participants per class. 15 Spanish language lessons per week plus activities. This course offers a practical experience of Spanish: from how to ask for directions, order meals at a restaurant or shop at a department store to how to shop for staples at the local market. All this while experiencing and enjoying Malaga’s rich culture. Golf and tennis are available nearby for an additional fee.

Spanish and Spanish Cuisine: NEW!
1 or 2 week Spanish course consisting of 20 Spanish lessons per week (4 lessons per day) plus 2 two-hour cooking lessons per week. Each cooking lesson includes a brief introduction of the menu followed by a hands-on preparation of a complete meal. At the end of each lesson students enjoy the dinner they have prepared along with complimentary wine. Students also participate in a visit to a place of gastronomic interest in Malaga and receive a recipe book, an apron and a sumptuous farewell lunch at the famous La Consula Cooking School as part of the course.

Spanish Teacher’s Refresher Course
Malaca Instituto offers 1 0r 2 week long Teacher’s Refresher courses for non-native Spanish teachers, with open enrollment for individual teachers during the month of July and for closed groups at any time of the year. This course is intended to give teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language additional tools to use in the classroom, while perfecting their Spanish language skills at an Advanced level.
The Spanish Teacher’s Refresher Course is a 30 lessons per week course which includes 20 Spanish Lessons per week of Advanced level Spanish plus 10 lessons per week of Spanish methodology. Each lesson is 50 minutes long.
Minimum Spanish level required to enroll: High Intermediate (B2). Duration: 1 or 2 weeks
Spanish Teacher’s Refresher Course – Staring dates 2024: 1 or 2 week course: 15 July, 1 week course: 22 July.

Spanish and Flamenco or Spanish and Salsa: NEW!
1 or 2 week Spanish course consisting of 20 Spanish lessons (4 lessons per day) plus 10 dance lessons each week. You may choose either Flamenco or Salsa lessons (see starting dates below).

Summer Spanish Courses in Malaga for Young Adults 2024:
For the younger crowd: 15-20 years of age. Program is also available during Spring!
15 Spanish lessons a week. 8-10 students per class. This program is designed for mature teens/young adults that want a flexible, unsupervised program that combines Spanish lessons with an activity program. Afternoon classes leave plenty of time to enjoy the beach and the sports program arranged by the school and included in the price. A 1 full day excursion every two weeks is also included in the price. A Summer Spanish Plus option is available for students that want a more intensive academic program: 4 additional private lessons per week may be added to the program.

Activities
To complement their Spanish Courses and allow students to experience the local culture, Malaca Instituto offers a full activity program during the week and optional excursions on weekends. Activities include free Sevillana lessons, monthly welcome and good bye parties and a guided city tour at the beginning of each session. Optional activities such as horseback riding, boat tours and “paella” night are also offered. Weekend full day excursions include trips to places such as Ronda, Nerja , Frigiliana and El Chorro. Once a month a 3 day excursion to Morocco is organized. Excursions and some activities are offered at additional cost and are optional. Upon arrival at the school students receive the activity and excursion schedules listing all options and pricing. Students may sign up for all excursions and activities at the activities coordinator’s desk. Additional information on local attractions, car rentals and tours is also available through the coordinator.
**Airport transfers: Airport transfers from Malaga airport are available at an additional cost of USD 150 round-trip (or USD 75 one-way).
